Charity (no. 1048540)

Lambeth and Southwark Mencap

"Enabling people with learning disabilities to live full lives."

Who We Are

Lambeth and Southwark Mencap is looking to recruit a new Treasurer. We are a charity operating across south London, with our base in West Norwood with a budget of around £2million. We provide services and activities for adults with learning disabilities.

While we are affiliated to Royal Mencap we are an independent charity, with our own Board of Trustees which oversees among other things the charity’s finances. This is not a bookkeeping role as LS Mencap has staff responsible for this. Please see below for more detail on the role and responsibilities of the Treasurer.

This is a voluntary position and the Treasurer is one of the 12 members of the Board of Trustees. Our current Treasurer is standing down this autumn, so we are keen to recruit someone ahead of our AGM in November and would welcome expressions of interest by Monday 14 May 2018.

Please email your CV along with a covering note on why you’re interested and believe you’d be suitable for the role of Treasurer to chair@LSMencap.org.uk
