The Rotary Club of Dawlish Water

"To encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise "

Who We Are

You may well have heard of Rotary – or been approached by a Rotarian at some fund-raising event – but rather wondered what it stands for. Local Rotary clubs represent lively minds, mostly people with backgrounds either in business, trade or a profession where a mix of skills is used to benefit local communities and support key overseas initiatives.

Rotary is at the heart of the community – helping both young and old - a worldwide organisation with some 1.2 million members in 200 countries. Devon and Cornwall have more than 80 clubs and include two clubs in Dawlish - Dawlish Water Rotary Club and Dawlish Rotary Club which meet weekly with a varied programme of events.

Main activities include supporting schools, the local community, Rotary’s worldwide campaign to eradicate polio, ShelterBox, clean water projects in Africa and the shoebox appeal for Moldova.

What Would You Like Now?

Choose one of the options below.

We're not your traditional charity or support group in terms of offering help direct to individuals in need, however we do provide opportunities for people to get involved, make friends, find new interests and interact socially with other which could in turn help to reduce feelings of isolation as well as fundraising to support numerous local and Rotary charities.

The wide range of activities includes speaker evenings and fun sports such as boules, bowls, skittles, golf and sailing. There are also regular social events including special evenings for wives, husbands and partners.
